Al Shifa Trust is a non political, non governmental and non profit organization dedicated towards delivery of high quality eye care services for the past 25 years. Presently it has four state of the art eye hospitals where thousands of patients visit every day for their eye problems including complex eye surgeries. Our vision is to provide the best eye care services and improve the health of the population of Pakistan.

Pakistan Institute of Ophthalmology (PIO) is the Academic Wing of Al Shifa Trust. For the past 20 years it has been providing quality graduate and ostgraduate medical education to the students in different fields related to ophthalmology. With the expansion of the hospitals and the Institute, a need was felt to expand the scope of academic programmes at the PIO with the primary focus on contributing towards issues related to the national health.Keeping this in view, a new program i.e. Masters of Science in Public Health (MSPH) has been launched. This two years program is affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University and is aimed at producing competent, ethical and professional public health leaders. We hope that our graduates will be in the forefront of tackling and solving the current and emerging public health issues of Pakistan.
