Prof. Dr. Ume Sughra

MBBS, MPH, FCPS, FRCP (Glasgow), MRCP-HPE, Director Research, Al-Shifa Research Centre

Dr. Sughra is a medical graduate with Fellowship degrees from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, in addition to Masters degree in Public Health from University of Health Sciences Lahore and Membership in Health Professional Education from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. She is a passionate researcher and an academician who enjoy a teaching experience of more than 15 years. She has numerous research papers on her credit published in prestigious national and international research journals and currently conducting an International Multicentered Phase III Clinical Trial of a COVID-19 Vaccine ZF2001 at Al-Shifa Clinical Trial site as Principal Investigator. She has been teaching and conducting workshops on research and on advanced statistical techniques to post-graduate residents of CPSP. Currently working as Associate Professor of Public Health at Al-Shifa School of Public Health and Director Research Al-Shifa Research Centre. She is an expert of SPSS, Excel, and Multiple Method Research (Practical Triangulation) Software and has conducted and facilitated a number of workshops on statistical techniques, Data analysis using SPSS, Research methodologies, Problem Based Learning, and on Communication Skills. She is a supervisor for postgraduate as well as undergraduate trainees for their thesis work.
